I am very fortunate to have fantastic backing from my family, friends and my fiance. Without them I wouldn’t be able to pursue my career. My mum Jane is predominantly the most important factor in our success, in fact my top horse Connie would be lost with out her! She is my number one groom and mentor. My partner Matthew and my father, although both completely ‘unhorsey’ are now fully fledged unofficial grooms/lorry drivers! Again their support is invaluable.

Jerry Longlands is ‘Team Shears’ physio and Oesteopath. Without his expertise we would all be a bunch of creaking bones. My horses benefit no end from their regular sessions, they are top athletes and are treated like football stars!

My farrier Tom Phillips has done an amazing job on my horses feet and is the key to their longevity and soundness, as is our vet Martin Foster who has second to none expertise. More thanks to Emily Gibney who is currently studying medicine at Warwick University and who often comes and helps me exercise my horses which is brilliant, especially when I am away competing.
